Pedagogy
The Jed-i pedagogy rests on three pillars: Theory, Modeling, and Practice - all of which are delivered through a flipped classroom model.
- Master Thodios - Individual students master Thodios at their own time and space. Thodios are available online 24/7. Click here for a sample thodio.
- Working in teams - Students are involved in team activities to solve problems and work on projects facilitated by Jed-i Engineering Fellows. Extensive use of computational tools is integral to the learning process. This new classroom setting is in direct contrast to the current engineering experience where there is a set sequence of class room lectures, by mostly non-motivated faculty, and assignments to be done individually.
- Online Community - The Jed-i Academy is the interactive online learning platform that networks students, Fellows, Jed-i Masters and industry experts. Registered students get to access lecture material, assignments, grades, join discussion groups, and much more! The Academy provides an interactive platform to learn, collaborate and explore!
The Jed-i pedagogy fast forwards engineering education to the 21st century.
